After download the client installation package, follow these simple steps to get started.

When upgrade from previous release, during the installation, you may hit 'Files in Use' warning couple of times. Please ignore the warning and click 'Continue'. Or you can shut down Gladinet and uninstall the old release from Windows 'Uninstall Program' in Control Panel. Then install the msi package just downloaded.

 

Step 1 - Double Click on the MSI Package To Start Installation

. Gladinet works better with WebClient service. You can start the service during installation.

. If Windows Firewall is enabled, you can register Gladinet Cloud Desktop to the firewall. If the firewall is disabled, you can uncheck the firewall flag.

Step 2 - After the installation, click Gladinet Cloud Desktop to start

Step 3 - Configure Gladinet when start for the first time

When start Gladinet for the very first time, need to configure Gladinet in Initial Settings.

  • Choose which edition of Gladinet to run. Starter Edition contains 3-day free trial for Professional Edition. Professional Edition requires Professional license key.
  • You can register with Gladinet, for support and update notices.
  • Can mount Coud Storage here. You can always add more later, in Gladinet Virtual Directory Manager.
  • Configure some basic behavior in Gladinet. For example, which drive letter to use, where to store Gladinet cache, whether to enable profile encryption and auto update of storage plug-ins.
  • Step 4 - Open My Gladinet Drive

    Click Gladinet icon on systray and select 'My Gladinet Drive' on top to open it.

    Step 5 - Mount Cloud Storage

    Double click the Click-to-Mount links in My Gladinet Drive, or Mount Virtual Directory menu in Gladinet systray menu, to mount cloud storage.
