Hello

We are running the latest version of the gladinet cloud server on a windows 2003 small business edition. When mapping drives directly to the server. So thats a folder not included in the cloud server accessing the drives is smooth and quick.

However when accessing the folder which is on the gladinet server its rather slow and tends to come up with the green loading bar windows 7 professional.

Howeve t even stranger on a laptop with home premium mapping a folder which is on the gladinet cloud server is quick and works perfectly with no lag.

Any ideas what could be causing the slow down on some of the pcs? Anything i can do to help this?

Thanks
gang

You publish the folder and access the CIFS share on different PCs, right?

All of them are on the same network, right?

yeah different pcs on the same network. Solved this problem as it was due to an issue with AVG. However i now seem to be having problems with office 2003 opening slowly and also been laggy when using it from the mapped drive.

Again this is on windows 7 machines with office 2003.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Do you have a machine where you don't have AVG installed at all, and try to access the share there?

Just to make sure, does your AVG have a firewall?

Yeahi have accessed the share from a machine without AVG and still the same problem. AVG doesn't have firewall on it.

The thing I have noticed the more I have investigated this is is seems to be deeper down in directories of the shared drive where its really slow to open.

For example in the top level of the shared drive a particular file opens pretty much as quick as it does on a local pc however further down in several folders the same file is really slow to open?

Why could this be?

Thanks
