I have an interesting issue. While working on an Office 2007 Excel file that uses the file extension .xlsx directly on the mounted S3 drive, the temporary file ~filename.xlsx does not delete when I exit the spreadsheet. Regardless of the time I give Gladinet to write the cache, the ~filename.xlsx file remains. This does not happen if I open a Office 2003 excel file with the .xls extension, the temp file disappears immediately after I close the spreadsheet.

any insite into the issue would be appreciated.

For some reason Excel doesn't delete it when work on CloudAFS share. It may be a timing issue.

However, the file is ignored when upload to S3. It only exists in CloudAFS tier1 storage.

OK , it's interesting that it deletes an Excel 2003 temp file but not the 2007. We will deal with it

2007 does work differently from 2003.

Occurs when necessary. Open Office 2003 xls excel files. While the file is deleted after closing the table.

Depends actually unless you do save your progress every once in a while.

The more specific you are, the better.
