Hello,

I am using Gladinet Professional v3.2.876.193 with MS Skydrive. I use it to backup my Pictures folder to Skydrive. Recently Gladinet is not able to create new folder on Skydrive. The tray says:

2012-06-01 21:20:34 888 Upload, failed:/Windows Live SkyDrive/Pictures/2012-05-19/DSCN1164.JPG:dead0048
2012-06-01 21:20:34 853 [Upload][Failed]/Windows Live SkyDrive/Pictures/2012-05-19/DSCN1164.JPG, error code from plugin:dead0048
2012-06-01 21:20:34 835 [Create Directory][Faild to enumrate parent older]/Windows Live SkyDrive/Pictures/2012-05-19
2012-06-01 21:20:31 668 [Create Directory][Begin]/Windows Live SkyDrive/Pictures/2012-05-19

On the other hand Gladinet keeps uploading all files newer than 7.8.2011 (not older) to SkyDrive on every start even if they were not updated on the local drive.

What can be the problem?

Regards

Jiri

Hi,

I have a similar problem. Unable to create a folder in the Skydrive Pictures folder using Gladinet (v3 latest). Also if I create a folder directly on the Skydrive web page and upload photos to the folder just created; I am unable to see the folder using Gladinet. I am able to upload folders to Picassa without any problems using Gladinet and it seems that I am able to upload folders to Skydrive Documents folder also.

I should add that all other Skydrive Pictures folders, previously created with Gladinet are viewable.

Any suggestions would be welcome

We'll take a look.

Have you tried to restart Gladinet?

Hi Gang,

I have tried restarting Gladinet, but it does not solve the problem. I have the same problem with my laptop computer, so the problem is not confined to one computer.

If the folder has already been created, I am able to upload individual files.

gang

Don't see the issue in my testing.

Does the problem only happens for pictures folder, or happens to all folders in Skydrive?

Just seems to be Pictures folder. This seems to be a fairly recent problem as I have previously had no issues in uploading photo folders

Can someone share an account with us? We tried to reproduce the issue but our testing account works fine. If you see the issue and can help us, you can share your skydrive login with us at support@gladinet.com. We'll use the account to reproduce the upload problem.

Thanks in advance,

When I started having problems with V3 I upgraded to 3.2.876 but it didn't solve the problem with the Skydrive Pictures Folder.

let's try this.

Open Gladinet Management Console.
Go to Advanced, Settings Manager.
Expand 'Upload' group. Set Number of threads from 5 to 3
Try the upload to Skydrive again.

Same for me. I upgraded to 3.2.876 and have also adjusted the upload thread count but still it cannot copy folders. Individual files are fine but the folders do not get created and the task constantly fails.

Trace states:

2012-06-12 19:45:55 571 Task failed.
2012-06-12 19:45:50 673 4 iteration done, has failed task, analyzing the reason
2012-06-12 19:45:43 357 Process sub Task: MKCOL, /myfoldername/my folder, failed task count:1

Does the problem happen for all folders in your skydrive account, or only a specific folder in your account?

In my case it is just the Pictures Folder in Skydrive. All other folders are OK

Please login to Skydrive web interface and check whether there is anything special with the Pictures folder.

Can you try a different skydrive account and check whether you hit the same issue there?

V3 before 3.2.876 do have issues, since Skydrive has made some changes after they were released.

Unfortunately V3 - 3.2.876 does not fix the issue for me. Also logging on to the SkyDrive web page, there does not appear to be anything different to the Pictures folder; but I can create all the other SkyDrive folders using Gladinet. It only seems to be the Pictures folder that does not work.

How many subfolders you have under the pictures folder?

I have approximately 190 folders, containing about 10,000 photos in total. But until recently this was never a problem. I am also within the 25GB SkyDrive limit.
