I recently upgraded to Gladinet Premium (latest version). I set a two-way sync between My Documents and a folder on Box.com (I have 50 GB storage there.). About 10.7 GB have uploaded correctly, leaving another 5 GB which won't upload. It appears that these are mainly fairly large files (>approximately 150 MB). It cycles through uploading them, getting to 100%, and then stating that upload failed. They are then listed in Rending Retry. It has been trying to upload the same files for several days, to no avail. There is no Note or any information on what went wrong.

Meanwhile, it is not uploading new/modified smaller files, so the upload image is now static and has not changed for several days.

I have rebooted several times [Windows 7] to no avail.

This makes the upgrade fr4om the free version useless.

What will fix this?

OK, so I found out that my Box plan only allows uploading files up to 100 MB. How do I tell Gladinet not to try syncing these larger files so that it doesn't get in an endless loop. Surely that should be a setting.

You can enable chunk for box.net, in Gladinet Management Console.

How do we enable a chunk again? I cannot find a walk through anywhere.

Friendly Warning:
If you enable chunking the chunked files will be unreadable unless successfully downloaded via the Gladinet program. This seems to me a dangerous proposition, because if Gladinet stopped working with Box, you would lose access to those chunked files.

This could happen if Box decided to stop supporting WebDav (which is how Gladinet now accesses Box) and Gladinet did not update its interface to Box. It could happen with any other cloud service that Gladinet stopped supporting (like Amazon Clouddrive that Gladinet stopped supporting in V4).

A long time ago, Gladinet said in this forum that it planned to release a standalone app that could merge Gladinet-chunked files that were downloaded to your computer via the cloud drive's web interface or any other (non-Gladinet) means. They never released this app, and I would not use chunking without it.

If I am wrong about any of this, I would be happy to be corrected by Gang.

Actually, I now realize there *would* be a way to merge chunked files that were on a cloud drive no longer accessible by Gladinet:

Those files could be downloaded to the local computer via the cloud provider's web interface or other means the cloud service supported and then placed in a local folder that Gladinet had been configured to see. Gladinet could then see and merge those chunked files. I never thought of this before, because when Gladinet introduced chunking, Gladinet didn't support mounting a local folder as a drive, and I never put two and two together when a local folder as a drive in Gladinet was introduced.

This approximates the standalone merger tool's functionality that I felt was necessary to have as a safety feature before chunking files.

I also have a 50GB Box account with a 100MB file size limit, so with this new insight I got from thinking about it in this thread, I will test this theory, and if it works, I will start chunking large files to Box via Gladinet.

To enable chunking in the Management Console, pick "Gladinet Cloud" from the first drop-down menu. Then in the left pane, highlight the previously mounted cloud drive you now want to re-configure for chunking. In the right pane, click "configure." In the window that pops-up, check the "enable chunking" box and choose the chunk size.

The download to local and mount local folder with Local Disk is the workaround here, for chunk/encryption/compressed files.
