Hi, thanks for your great gladinet cloud storage products first!

After windows boots up, there will be an extra item when pressing Alt+Tab, it's a little "Gladinet Cloud" banner or something like that, but user cannot switch to it.

When trying to switch to that item, then release Alt+Tab, nothing happens. After open the Cloud Storage mapped drive in explorer, that item disapears.

It's a minor issue, but a bit annoying.

System Infomation:
* Gladinet Desktop v4.0.839.17944 Stater Edition
* Windows 7 Home Simplified Chinese Edition with SP1

Do you have multiple monitors?

The icon should park on your Windows Explorer, as an easy way to access more frequently used tasks in Gladinet. However, we do have a problem with it in multiple monitors.

You can disable it. Just open Gladinet Management Console, go to Advanced, Settings manager. Under Cloud Drive group, set Show Gladinet Explorer Menu Bar to false.

This also happened to me. After struggling a little, solved it by:

1) re-enable the "Show Gladinet Explorer Menu Bar" mentioned;
2) reset computer;
3) disable "Show Gladinet Explorer Menu Bar" using the console (IT WON'T DISAPPEAR IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT MESS WITH THE OPTION AT THE EXPLORER WINDOW);
4) reset computer.

That solved my problem. It seems that, if you change the option in the console and also change it from Windows Explorer, some kind of mess happens and the blank window appears.

Hi Frederico,

Thank you! I solved this issue exactly as what you said. :-)

gang,

FYI, I don't have multiple monitors, thank you!

Guess a restart is needed here. Thanks for sharing, Frederico!

Unfortunately, my system now is showing this extra item and the procedure that solved it previously is not working anymore.

I belive it is still related to the Explorer Menu Bar, as its behaviour is unstable. I turn it on and off and, even after a restart, it does not show properly.

Think will have to reset Gladinet.

Hi

Unfortunatelly, I am now suffering with these extra itens and can't get rid of them. I used Vista Switcher so that I could get some info about this problem. It reports the extra item is from process "explorer.exe" and the window class is "GCDSHELLWND".

Please, help me solve this. It is much probably due to the Gladinet explorer menu bar.

Thanks,
Frederico

Please upgrade to the latest release, 4.0.856. We add more logic on the explorer menu bar.

Unfortunately, the problem remais the same. In fact, now the explorer bar never shows up, but the extra items are always there.

Do you have multiple monitor? In 4.0.856, when there are multiple monitors, the explorer toolbar should be disabled.

Can you post a screenshot here?

As mentioned here I have the same problem but it is not solved via the "Show Gladinet Explorer Menu Bar" setting (even after reboots).

Single Monitor, Win7 x64, Gladinet 4.0.586.18465, but see for yourself: Screenshot

We'll take a look. For anyone having the issue, please upgrade to 4.0.856, to see whether it helps.
