Q: Hi, great program, but sometimes it hangs while browsing Skydrive, to the point where I can't shut down explorer, and also cannot open task manager to shut it down. Only solution is to reboot. Win Vista Ultimate 32bit, Dual Core, 4 gb ram. Otherwise very stable computer. Thanks.
A: Has you notice any pattern of the hung? Does it happen when you are copying lots of files, or it just hung without too much activities?

Hi,
Just thought I'd fill in on my bug report from above:
This happens while I'm copying 10 files or so, rather large files (48mb each). It can happen any time during upload, but it seems to happen more often if I try to browse the skydrive folders in file explorer while I upload.
The biggest problem is that I can't shut anything down with task manager, I have to actually shut the coputer off.
Norwegian Vista ultimate. All patches installed.

Thanks for posting the bug report.
There is a Explorer limitation related to Webdav that we are currently working on. We believe we will have a fix for next build, sometime towards the end of next week.
The symptom is exactly as you said, If explorer is busy doing something while you try to do other things in parallel, it may lock up. Work around for the current build is not to do other things in parallel if explorer is busy copying files to cloud storages.
Starting next build, this limitation should be removed and you will be able to do things in parallel, at least for SkyDrive. Then we will extend the same logic to all of the 4 storages (Google Docs/Google Picasa/Amazon s3)

Wow, response in 40 minutes, I'm impressed ! I'll try your next build and see if it goes away. Keep up the good work, I really believe this will be a great product when you get things sorted out. Cheers from Norway.

Thanks again for the great program.
I'm running the latest version under English Vista 32bit, SP1 (with all updates installed). I have similar problems described above. When downloading or uploading more than one file from/to SkyDrive my computer hangs in a special way. The processor is almost idle, and all opened programs yet respond. However, if any program is about to read or write to disk, it hangs. Thus i think the problem is caused by some IO blockage caused in turn by Gladinet trying to communicate with SkyDrive. For instance, if notepad was opened beforehand, then after Gladinet hangs, i can still use notepad. Saving the document from notepad causes notepad to hang too.
I tried different accounts on windows live: my old account, fresh (just registered) and linked accounts. This problem happens for linked accounts almost immediately after mounting the drive (without any transfer yet done by me, but maybe vista's explorer did it?) For my old account with a number of files/folders in it, I can see my folders and files in mounted drive, but after transfer of any file in any direction, the described above happens. As for completely fresh accounts, i was able to do several successful transfers. However, after a while my computer hangs too.
I don't know how to debug this and send you the stack trace, since after the program hangs, i can't run any other program. I am going to play with this issue on virtual machine, I will post here about results.

Thanks. Any lead to debug this will be very helpful. What is a linked account?

Linked accounts: http://windowslive.uk.msn.com/beta/hotmail/guides/article.aspx?cp-documentid=10356295Basically if one has 2 or more accounts for Windows Live services, he/she can link one account to another. The advantage is that you don't have to login/logout in order to switch between them. In web interface MS adds a drop-down menu to select which account to use if you have a linked account(s).
