Hey there,

You guys have done a great job with Gladinet. However, I'd just like to let you know about a problem with file syncing that I'm having here.

Syncing or backing up from my computer works fine. Unfortunately, doing so from the cloud to my computer is not working out.

At my workplace, we each have our own network drive where we save our docs. This network drive is accessible from home with WebDav. I can view and download these files with Gladinet easily. So what I did was to schedule a sync using SyncToy to sync my files at work to my computer, so I can always have a copy of my work files at my computer at home that is up to date.

Unfortunately, SyncToy never detected any changes on the Z:/WebDav/ folder. Then I use explorer to look inside the folder and the new files are there. So why didn't it sync earlier? I found that SyncToy only detects changes and additions after I manually browse the folder using explorer. By extension, SyncToy was only scanning a cached and not current version of my WebDav folder.

Is there a way to make sure that Z:/WebDav/ is always up to date, even if I don't browse it first with explorer? Or even better, maybe you guys can allow us to backup from the cloud to the computer.

Cheers!

ask to refresh in real time, not to refresh once at startup and every X seconds

When you access the virtual directory, Gladinet will return whatever in cache immediately, to short the respond time. Mean while, it starts a new query to the cloud storage, to get the latest information. Once it gets the results back, if you are in Windows Explorer, it will notify explorer and refresh it.

That's why in Windows Explorer, if you pay close attention, after you access the vdir, you may see a refresh, to display the latest file/folder information.

Can you try this? Use SyncToy to run the backup from cloud to local once. It can't find any new file. Then after awhile, run SyncToy again. Let's see whether the second try can get the correct file information.

This does not work, I still get the error. I was hoping you could implement this feature in the next version.
