Do you have multiple monitor?
Please open Gladinet Management Console, go to Advanced, Settings Manager. Under Cloud Drive, set 'Show Gladinet Explorer Menu Bar' to false. After that, reboot your machine.

I had the same problem with an earlier version of Gladinet and this suggestion didn't work for me. I upgraded to version 4.0.856.18465 and the icon is still there. I had previously had an email from Gladinet support suggesting that I set the Menu Bar not to show. This didn't work either.
You're quite right though, this only happens uses extended desktop. More strangely, it doesn't happen if I use the default graphics setting which has the second monitor to the right of my laptop. But if I set it to the left, the Gladinet icon stays on the second monitor.
Any other suggested fixes?

I have upgrade to the lastest version, and still have the same problem as everyone is getting. On multi-screen, the "Gladinet Cloud" button is appear and cannot remove it and do nothing.
I try looking for the advance settings, under cloud drive, as the instruction on the previous post, but the options is not there on the software, there is no "Show Gladinet Explorer Menu Bar" setting that allow me to set to false.
Any help or suggestion will be greatly help. After this is a very good software for cloud storage access. :)

In the latest release, 4.0.881, we actually disabled the button.

It doesn't matter if you disabled the button in the latest release. I removed your software weeks ago, and I still get a Gladinet button in the upper-left corner of my desktop that does nothing and can't be removed. It appears when both on dual monitor and single monitor arrangements. You need to provide a fix for this!

Sorry about that. Didn't realize that you still see it even after uninstall Gladinet. We'll take a look.

I have the latest version, but I don't see a 'Show Gladinet Explorer Menu Bar' setting anywhere.
I would like to know how to get rid of that pesky orange button on my second monitor too.

We have disabled it in the latest release, 4.0.881.
However, we just got feedback from some users that they still see it. :(
We are working on it.

I haven't had this problem, but it is troubling to read of its existence, not to mention Gladinet's poor response with the lack of a pro-active, timely fix.
Gladinet was made aware of this issue on April 9, 2012 - THREE MONTHS AGO - in the original post in this thread.
This sloppiness and unwillingness to correct this sloppiness can't help but give Gladinet a reputation for buggy, not-ready-for-prime-time software.
For Goodness sakes, man, help these people NOW. Just don't make another bug report to be filed away and ignored.

I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but take a lot to this thread - it was started on 26. Februar - no solution until now... and it bugs me every time I switch on the pc! @gladinet: why not only release a version with the feature disabled. And don't tell me its not possible - I'm a developer myself...

I keep getting spam from Galdinet's "SVP of Business Development" Franklyn Peart, making sure I'm satisfied with the product. I notified him that I have been ignored by tech support regarding this issue, and now it appears he is ignoring me as well. Here's his address if you feel like dropping him a note: franklynp@gladinet.com. FIX THE ISSUE NOW!!!

Clomper, I feel your pain. As I said in my post above 2 weeks ago, I haven't had this problem but have been appalled by Gladinet's response or lack thereof. In the past Gang replied to these complaints and then did nothing. Now he ignores the complaints completely. Pathetic. It may be nearing the time to complain about this outside of Gladinet's site. Companies seem to get very nervous when consumers tweet negative comments using their company name in a hashtag. Example: Warning: #Gladinet refuses to fix issue where users' desktops continue to display unwanted images even after #Gladinet has been uninstalled. It's not like Gang and Gladinet have been unresponsive about everything. In fact, Gang has provided a great deal of support, so I will not tweet about this yet, but the time may be drawing near when it may seem to be the only alternative and last resort.

We did disabled the feature in the new release. However, we are not sure why it even stays after uninstallation. Dev team is still checking it.

It's been over three months since I uninstalled Gladinet, still I get a bar across the top of my desktop. I've had no response to the issue in this forum or via email. Time to start tweeting folks.

We still can't reproduce the issue. However, feel like something under the registry are not cleared. Will ask dev team to take a look at what register is used.

If it helps ... I found a very similar problem (to colin_thames). The button possibly also only seemed to appear on certain resolution settings, too. I logged in as Administrator (Windows Vista) and did an uninstall via Control Panel and the button did disappear. Unfortunately I didn't note down what Gladinet client version I'd installed but I recall Control Panel said about 5th February 2012.

It must be an old version of Gladinet.
The icon is removed in new version.
