Hi. Thanks in advance for your help. I upgraded to version 4, and now, randomly, Gladinet just stops working. The icon shows in the tray, until I go to click it, then it disappears. When it disappears, I no longer have access to my files. My backups rely on having Gladinet working at all times.

Any ideas would be great. I need to get this resolved as soon as possible.

Have a great day!

Leigh

I have Gladinet version 4.0.871.18998

All my cloud storage is Windows Live Skydrive.

I would be happy to revert back to version 3, but I have paid for the upgrade at this point. I need my back ups to work correctly. Please help as soon as possible.

For the crash, please help us to collect the call stack and dump file.

Can you also send up the call stack and dump file? Each crash can be different. We have users running the same version of Gladinet on 3 computers and only one XP box is having problems.

And where do you upload to, Gladinet Cloud or other 3rd party cloud storage?

Good to hear that. However, it may only work for XP. On Vista and above, when you run Gladinet as adminisitrator, due to Windows security, you can't see the mounted drive, even when your account is admin.

XP-compatibility is only available in Windows Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise.

So the problem remains in Windows Home premium.

Is there an other solution? It's very annoying.

can you reset Gladinet, to see whether it helps?
www.gladinet.com/docs/faq_32.html#reset

please notice that after reset, you'll need to redo all the configurations.

And when you say Windows Home Premium, do you mean Vista or win7?

The reason for the crash is that Gladinet has an awful memory leak that allows it to grow to as much as 1.6GB of ram usage before finally crashing.

It is not always memory leak. Each case is unique and requires detailed analysis. If you can help us to collect more information, we'll really appreciate it.
